There are many lessons we can learn just by looking around us ... from the most seemingly insignificant occurrences in nature to the most obvious of human behaviour.
Take, for example, the predispositions of the humble bumble bee and the common fly. Think about where you normally see these creatures. You will find the bee merrily buzzing around the sweet nectar of flowers. The fly, on the other hand, is drawn to the filthy places of rubbish bins and waste. The same can be seen in people. Some people choose to surround themselves with good by seeing the positive things in others and in the world around them. They recognise there is negativity and evil, but they choose to focus on what is good and right. They do not gossip about the badness of others. They do not finger point and bring people down. These people are ‘bee-like’. Then there are the ‘fly-like’ people. Attracted to the dark side of things, these people choose to see the negative and they draw the attention of other people towards the ills of something. They point out people’s flaws to third parties and they have no interest in helping the people they are talking about.
This is not to say that we must be blind to others’ faults. But if you are to draw attention to these faults, you should do so to the person concerned, and only with the motive of helping that person to improve. It is not for you to speak about that person’s flaws with other people, as this is non-constructive and serves no purpose other than the spread of malicious rumours that will not help the person involved.
Please take a moment to ponder ... do not focus on the imperfections of others. We are imperfect ourselves. Before we correct others, let us first correct ourselves. We should be humble in what we see and do. We should be bee-like, and should avoid the trappings of viewing the world through the eyes of the garbage-seeking fly.
Sincerely,
Joseph Bismark Group Managing Director, QI Ltd

Product Training Back from Central Asia
During the past four weeks, our Product Training team has been touring Central Asia to meet, greet and train thousands of IRs in Dubai, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. The business presentation focussed on QVI products and Amezcua products, with QVI packages being presented in detail to the IRs. A new camera called the Electrophonic Capture (EPC) Energy Camera, also used by NASA’s astronauts in space, was introduced at the product training events to display the energy distribution inside the body.
“The IRs were happy,” said our Product Trainer, Ashley Williams. “They were amazed when they saw images from the EPC, showing how their energy levels increased just 20 minutes after using Amezcua products.”

The product presentation was not the only thing that the IRs from these four countries learned about; useful tips and techniques on selling were also offered from the Product Training team. However, the trip was organised not just from a purely business-oriented viewpoint. Along with our Business Development team, the Product Training team was there to help facilitate communication between IRs and QuestNet, helping to relay messages to the company about how better to serve all valued IRs within the region. Stay tuned on QPP next week for news from our Business Development team and how the IRs’ suggestions can help QuestNet to improve its offered services and array of business tools to make for a better IR experience.
QuestNet Pays Forward to Children with Disabilities in Kazakhstan
In an effort to improve the lives of those in need, QuestNet, through the ‘QuestNet Pays Forward’ initiative, will sponsor a new school bus for the Regional Special Boarding School for Deaf and Mute Children in Taldykorgan, in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan.
The Regional Special Boarding School for the Deaf and Mute Children in Taldykorgan has 159 speaking- and hearing-impaired students aged 5-18; almost all the students live permanently in the school’s dormitories as their parents are unable to provide the appropriate care for the children’s special needs. The Kazakh government has subsidised everything except transportation. The old school bus has not been operational for many years. Therefore, the children must take public transportation or travel on foot -- both difficult activities considering their special needs. This increases the risk of potential injuries that may occur to the children as a result of this hardship. The supply of a 24-seat bus will not only bring comfort to the children, it will also provide them with safety during their skill-building activities and weekend trips.

The bus-handover event will be held on 19 March 2010 at the school during an annual concert that the children perform as part of the Kazakh New Year celebration. An artwork exhibition as well as numerous handicrafts made by the children themselves will be on display. All funds raised from the selling of the artworks and crafts will be used by the school to provide further assistance to its students. VIP guests attending today from the Kazakh government include such dignitaries as the Mayor of Taldykorgan Kolbayev Marlen Kapasovich, the Chief of Regional Management of Education Bazarkulova Iyazzat Tleubayevna, and the Deputy Secretary to Mayor of Almaty Region Mukanov Serik Meirkhanovich. In addition, there will be QuestNet staff and Independent Representatives on hand, as well as the local and republic media.
